Our Prepared Childbirth Classes are offered in a HYBRID format. (50% virtual/50% in person!)

Breastfeeding/Newborn Care classes are taught virtually. Supplemental resources are provided in ALL our classes to enhance your learning.  Classes are small and intimate to provide personal attention.

Labor Skills Refresher classes are offered in person OR in a pre-recorded format to allow families to view them at their convenience. VBAC class is currently offered in a pre-recorded format only.

We recommend families complete their prenatal education by week 36 when possible.  



Additional Classes

VBAC Class $60

Our VBAC class is a 2 hour recording designed to prepare families who are planning to have a Vaginal Birth After Cesarean. We highly recommend taking the class in the 2nd trimester or early 3rd trimester for maximum benefit. Price includes a 1:1 session with Amanda or Shelley to answer your questions.

Topics include:

  • Risk/Benefits of VBAC vs Repeat Cesarean

  • Physical preparation for birth including basic comfort measures

  • Review of stages of labor and discussion of how VBAC labor may be different

  • Emotional preparation

  • Increasing your odds for a successful VBAC

  • Preparing for the possible repeat Cesarean

  • How to have a positive birth experience regardless or outcome

Labor Skills Refresher $60

The Labor Skills Refresher class is a 2 hour session designed to prepare families for their 2nd, 3rd, etc births.  We recommend taking this course in the 3rd trimester. We offer this both in person as well as in a pre-recorded format. Price includes a 1:1 session with Amanda or Shelley for those who purchase the recording only.

Topics include:

  • Review the basics of labor (stages, measurements in labor)

  • Practicing hands on skills to manage labor pain 

  • Relaxation/breathing

  • Massage/touch

  • Mental strategies for labor 

  • Role of the support person

  • Coping with challenges in labor
